I'm still here

I can't wait for Christmas. Really. It needs to be here soon. I took a final, and I utterly and completely failed it. Worst grade I've ever received on a test in my whole life. I have one left tonight, and hopefully i'll do better on that one. So, I should go back to studying. But, although I had one crappy night, I still think that I'm quite happy. There are things in life that override the bad in life. I like to think that I'm optimistic.

Finals...blech..

So, final time is approaching. I have three days to complete four finals, before I can put all of this behind me and enjoy a good ol' college bowl game. I'm not too worried about my finals. Two of them are religion and my professors make them decent. Art history....well, all the cathedrals look alike and their names are confusing. Plus, as an added stresser, the art history study abroad looms ahead, and I feel like I have to do well in this class. Math, the last one, is in the middle. I need to study more, but I have done the stuff before. We shall see.
But, on a happy note, it is the season. I am looking forward to seeing my sister and my ADORABLE nephew who is getting so big now. I can celebrate the holidays without stress from school, and I've had a good semester. The BYU sports teams are doing well, I liked my classes, and the dating scene hasn't been too bad either. I am looking forward to Europe this summer....what do I have to be sad about? Sure, finals are stressful, but it's only three days. Life is better when you look for the good in things. So here I am. Happy as a clam, figuratively.
I hope that these holiday times are going well for you too. Just remember that Christ is the center of Christmas, and be thankful for all of your blessings. I love you all, especially because you read my blog....haha.

WOOHOO!!!!

So, I was just accepted into a study abroad for this spring. It's for art history, and I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!! Here's an overview if you are curious as to where I'm going.

Students’ time will be devoted to visiting various monuments and museums in Europe including Athens, Rome, Florence, Venice, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Chartres, Reims, and London. Among other sights, students will visit the Vatican Museum and the Uffizi in Florence; the Prado in Madrid; the Louvre, the Museé d'Orsay, and the Pompidou in Paris; and the National Gallery, the British Museum, and the Tate Galleries in London.

Now doesn't that sound like fun! And the director said that we'll be done by one every day, so we have every night free in whatever country that we're in. I can barely contain myself...THIS IS SOOO AWESOME!!!!!

It happened again

Dude. I don't know what happened. So, as of today, I got asked on two dates for this week, from different guys, and not the same guys I blogged about before. Unfortunately, I had to decline one because I was busy. But on Thursday I am going to see the MoTab perform in Salt Lake. I'm not sure what to think. Of course I'm happy, and I will enjoy myself immensley, but....what changed? Why are guys paying attention to me finally, after five years of torture in high school and beyond. Guys used to run away from me, although I might not want to admit that. This is new and exciting. Why not live it up? I guess I'm making up for all the dates that I missed.
Plus, I have good news that I might be moving in with my best friend in the ward next semester. It won't change much because I practically live there anyway, but still very exciting. I am also very excited to go to Vegas and kick the Bruin's butt in football. I love band trips. Life is looking exciting again...

Cause Cari made me

So Cari basically told me I had to write six interesting things about myself. I was "tagged." I never can come up with stuff by myself though, I need some kind of questions. Anyway, I will try my best.

1. I had an obsession for the Baby-Sitters Club series when I was younger. That's all I ever checked out from the library, and all I ever bought or asked for to buy. I could tell you anything you wanted to know about Kristy, Mary-Ann, Stacey, Claudia, Jessi, Mal, Dawn, Abby, Logan, or Shannon. I think that this is one reason I loved baby-sitting so much. I guess if I am completely honest, I still keep an eye open for books I don't own.

2. While I was in preschool, I had a beauty pageant tea party thing. So, I got to wear make-up for the first time in my life, and I had gloves, and a dress that was too big for me. But, the funny part was that I actually won the beauty pageant part of the whole thing. I even have this picture of me all dressed up with a huge purse on my arm. It's really funny.

3. I often dream of becoming a famous composer and director. I love to blast classical music and conduct it like I'm at a concert. This is still recent, seeing that I took a class on conducting my senior year of high school. I know that I do not have the patience or talent to be a composer, or any kind of music profession. I will always love music, but I can't live it.

4. Halfway done....Let's see. A few people know this, but I HATE with a passion people touching my feet. I can't explain it, but it drives me nuts. I'll have a lucky husband who will never have to give his wife a foot massage...lol.

5. I LOVE to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving parade every year. From the beginning where the new broadway shows perform a number, and all the floats and marching bands, and lip-synching horrors, all the way to Santa at the end. It's a tradition every year. This is also a reason that I like Miracle on 34th Street so much.

6. LAST ONE! People seem surprised to hear that I don't know how to ride a bike. I'm not sure why. I never needed to learn, I had no friends, and I was perfectly content playing with my barbies. I have never been a very outdoorsy kind of person. I prefer to stay inside and not embarass myself with my poor coordination. I actually find it amazing that I can play an instrument and march at the same time...must be a miracle.

There Cari. I did it. Now, because you are the only friends that I know that have a blog, Seung, Heidi, and Hillary...consider yourself tagged, if you wish to write six random things about yourself. Have a great day! I know that I'm having a pretty good one....:-)

WHAT!?!

So, if you knew me in high school, I didn't date at all. It was saddening, but I didn't care much. It's not like I was going to see these people ever again. My first year of college, it was basically the same way. Who wants to date freshman guys who are all going on their mission anyway? This year started out that way too. I went on a date, but I asked, so that doesn't count. Then I started liking this guy, and he asked me out on my first date here at BYU. It was fun, we talked and drank hot chocolate. Nothing fancy, but I like it that way. I was content with life. It looked like we would go out again at a later time. Now the kicker. While I was at this guy's aprtment, another guy calls me and asks me on a date. Wait a second? Did I, the girl who never gets asked out on dates, get asked out by two guys on two consecutive days?!?! The world must be ending. Now, I'm not complaining. I said yes to both of them, and I'm planning on having a great time. I've just never dealt with this before. It's rather exciting. Stay tuned for updates!

This is so much easier!

So, I decided that I like blogging. It relieves a certain amount of stress.
I had a good day today. I entered a contest to win some awesome stuff, I saw a bunch of friends on campus, plus I went on a date. Not too shabby. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good. I have an interview with a guy to study abroad this spring, and I REALLY, REALLY want to go. This trip sounds amazing.
